U.S. Import and Export Price Indexes - February 2005
The U.S. Import Price Index rose 0.8 percent in February, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. The increase was led by an advance in petroleum prices and followed a 0.7 percent rise in January. Export prices were unchanged in February after rising 0.9 percent the previous month.
U.S. Import and Export Price Indexes - January 2005
The U.S. Import Price Index increased 0.9 percent in January, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. The increase followed a 1.4 percent decline in December and was attributable to higher prices for both petroleum and nonpetroleum imports. Export prices increased 0.7 percent in January after advancing 0.2 percent in December.

The U.S. Import Price Index declined 1.3 percent in December 2004, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. The decrease followed a 0.2 percent decline in November and was led by lower petroleum prices. Export prices were up 0.2 percent in December after rising 0.3 percent the previous month.

The U.S. Import Price Index was up 0.2 percent in November, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. The increase followed a 1.6 percent rise in October and was led by higher nonpetroleum import prices. Export prices rose 0.3 percent in November following a 0.7 percent advance the previous month.[p]
U.S. Import and Export Price Indexes: October 2004
The U.S. Import Price Index rose 1.5 percent in October, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. An 11.7 percent increase in import petroleum prices last month more than offset a 0.2 percent decline in the price index for nonpetroleum imports. Export prices were up 0.7 percent in October, following a 0.4 percent rise in September.
