<Back to Last Page>     <Full Glossary>

Definition of Logistic Distribution: A logistic distribution has the cdf F(x) = 1/(1+e-x)

This distribution is quicker to calculate than the normal distribution but is very similar. Another advantage over the normal distribution is that it has a closed form cdf.

pdf is f(x) = ex(1+ex)-2 = F(x)F(-x) (Econterms)
