Jenny Luesby
A Financial Times journalist for nine years, Jenny Luesby worked as both editor and writer on the international, foreign, features and industrial desks. From 1994 to 1998, Jenny was industry correspondent for the global chemicals and textiles industries, additionally covering biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Before joining the FT, she was a report writer for the Economist Intelligence Unit and then for the BBC World Service, specialising in economic reporting of OECD countries, Africa and the Middle East. She has an Honours degree in economics and a Masters degree in African economics and politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London University.
Jenny has been training journalists since 1993 for the British Council, the Thomson Foundation, the KnowHow Fund, The International Institute for Journalism in Berlin, the Institute for the Advancement of Journalism in Johannesburg, and IREX/ProMedia of the USA. She is author of the business writer's handbook, The Word on Business, published by Financial Times/Prentice Hall. Jenny, along with Ross Tieman run Cayssials, a centre for developing business writing skills.
