Definition of Logit Model: A logit model is a univariate binary model. That is, for dependent variable yi that can be only one or zero, and a continuous indepdendent variable xi, that:

Pr(yi=1)=F(xi'b)
Here b is a parameter to be estimated, and F is the logistic cdf. The probit model is the same but with a different cdf for F. (Econterms)
