NPR's Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!
is meant to be a comedy quiz show, but it's often also a good way to learn about current events and other random things. For example, one of the segments of the show is entitled "Not My Job," and it features famous-y people answering questions about things that are, not surprisingly, not their jobs. This segment in Saturday's episode featured none other than Nobel laureate (and New York Times blogger
) Paul Krugman
, or, as the Wait Wait hosts put it, "the Mick Jagger of political/economic punditry."
In addition to answering questions (mostly correctly), Krugman talks a bit about what the dual role of pundit/economist is like as well as the grueling logistics of winning a Nobel Prize. You can listen to the podcast of the segment and read a transcript here, or, if you have an iPhone, you can stream the show on demand from the app offered by 90.9 WBUR in Boston.
