FairTax Would Replace Federal Tax System with Simple Alternative

Wednesday January 12, 2005
That is, if you believe former baseball commissioner Peter Ueberroth, who recently wrote an editorial with the above title in the Whittier Daily News. I wrote an article on the pros and the cons of the FairTax that generated a lot of response from FairTax advocates. In fact I still get a few e-mails a week on the article, which was written almost two years ago. The FairTax issue is being kept alive by an army of advocate-volunteers, but it remains to be seen how far it will get in Washington.
