Last February I wrote a piece that explained the concept of opportunity cost by looking at baseball transactions. The article "Baseball Players and Opportunity Costs" quickly became a favorite of many readers, the majority of which felt that the Blue Jays had made the right moves. In the sequel "A Season Later: Baseball Players and Opportunity Costs", we look back at the decisions the Blue Jays made before the 2003 season and to see if their understanding of microeconomic concepts paid off.
